Taking
Care of your silverware
The quality
stainless steel used by Guy Degrenne is ideal as it requires only
minimum care - and it meets extremely high manufacturing standards.
However, any acid or chlorine-based products (salt) coming in
contact with the blades may cause pitting or staining.
HOW TO WASH
STAINLESS STEEL CUTLERY
In the
dishwasher:
Open the door at the end of the washing cycle to avoid condensation
stains on the blades. Water that is too hard, and too much washing
liquid will attack the steel. Follow the manufacturer's instructions
pertaining to hard water. Avoid over-loading the cutlery baskets. By
hand:
Use a sponge. Avoid corrosive or abrasive products. If you leave the
products to dry on the draining board the blades will oxidise. If
you do not wash your cutlery immediately after use, rinse it in hot
water to limit the acid in food from attacking the steel. If
your cutlery needs brightening up, use a reputable stainless-steel
cleaning product to enable the steel to retain its original
sparkle. STORAGE
Air and
water oxidise metal. Wipe the cutlery and dishes dry before storing
them and keep them in a closed environment. |
